Coverage
What a commercial
auto policy can include
- Bodily injury liability
- Pays for injuries or deaths you cause in an at-fault accident. Depending on the policy, it can also cover your legal defense.
- Property damage liability
- Pays for damage your vehicle causes to someone else's vehicle or property, and can include legal defense costs depending on the policy.
- Medical payments & PIP
- Personal injury protection (Florida's no-fault coverage) and medical payments help with medical bills for your driver and passengers, no matter who caused the accident.
- Uninsured & underinsured motorist
- Covers injuries, and in some cases vehicle damage, caused by a hit-and-run or uninsured driver. Underinsured coverage steps in when the at-fault driver's insurance falls short.
- Comprehensive
- Repairs or replaces your vehicles and trailers after damage that isn't a crash, like theft, vandalism, flood or fire.
- Collision
- Repairs or replaces your vehicles and trailers after a crash with another vehicle or a single-vehicle accident.
Coverage depends on the carrier and policy you choose. Your agent will explain exactly what's included.

Questions
Straight answers
Don't see yours? Call and ask. That's what we're here for.
I use my personal truck for work. Do I need commercial auto?
Often, yes. Many personal auto policies limit or exclude regular business use, like hauling tools, driving to job sites or carrying employees. If a vehicle is owned by your business or used mainly for work, a commercial policy is usually the right fit. An agent can review how you use the vehicle and tell you where you stand.
How much coverage does Florida require?
Minimums depend on your vehicle's weight and how it's used. Heavier trucks carry higher liability requirements, and businesses that haul across state lines may have federal requirements too. Your agent will confirm exactly what applies to your vehicles and whether higher limits make sense for your contracts.
How fast can I get a certificate of insurance?
Often the same day your policy is bound. Send us the certificate holder's details and we'll get it out quickly.
What's the difference between a broker and an insurance company?
An insurance company can only sell its own policies. As a broker, we work with multiple carriers and compare their quotes for you, so you can choose based on price and coverage instead of taking the only offer on the table.
Can you cover drivers with tickets or accidents?
Often, yes. Every carrier has different guidelines, which is exactly why shopping several of them helps. Tell us about your drivers up front and we'll find the carriers most likely to say yes.
